ABOUT ST PHILOMENA SCHOOL

St Philomena School provides primary education through qualified teachers with a commitment to traditional Catholic principles of education. The current enrolment in 2007 stands at 81 students.

 

The school curriculum is based on an integrated educational philosophy which recognises the

  • spiritual

  • academic

  • moral

  • cultural

  • physical, and

  • social

needs of all students. Specific emphasis is placed on the development of basic skills, knowledge and understanding, in an environment that allows individuals to grow.

Latin and French are the two languages taught to all students at the school. Extra-curricula activities in which the students participate include altar serving for the boys, piano lessons and netball for the girls.

St Philomena School is situated on Koplick Road, off Chambers Flat Road, Park Ridge. The ten-acre site, nestled among a natural rural environment, offers students a tranquil setting for their academic pursuits.
